FURNITURE CLUSTER
This project aims at creating a catalogue within an interactive box to brand the furniture industry and to connect the local furniture workshop in Damietta with the retailers and designers in cairo to the Egyptian user. The catalogue is divided into different phases. As a start, showing the craft of workers in Damietta and a small story about them. The second phase is a catalogue that showcase the furniture designs of the designers whether it is Traditional or Contemporary or Modern. The last phase is a contact list of the local retailers. This catalogue is put within an interactive box that allows the user to create the connection that they want between the 3 variables. Who makes the design? What is the design that they want from the designer? and Where can they get it?
THE CATALOGUE
The purpose of the catalogue is to take the user throughout the journey of the product from the beginning to the very end in order to have the sense of customization and personification for the customer. The cover is made out marquetry, which are thin layer of wood that is cut into pieces and stuck together to form the shape needed.

THE INTERACTIVE BOX
The purpose of the interactive box is to work as a matchmaking, the user has all the cards in front of them and they start to mix what workshop execute the design of which designer and where to pick it up. The box also has marquetry on both sides where the top led could be hung on the wall. The box also has a place for the catalogue inside. Every wooden part of the project is made in the Damietta
